Opposite the bustling Ringsted Havn where there are oembty of F&B options we enjoyed a traditional danish lunch at this lovely Inn.....we sat in the court yard and enjoyed traditional danish “smoerrebroed” open sandwiches!! Lovely service too!!
The road and the houses around might look less nice than the Rungsted Kro, but it is a very nice Danish Kro. Traditional food and beer. Friendly staff attending to your needs. We vame by bicycle and had no problem with safe bike parking or...lycra clothes. We will rerurn again soon.
Having spent 45 minutes trying to find a place to sit at Louisiana museum restaurant, and failed, we decided to find a place on our way to ferry. The place looks verey imposing from the outside, but is very simple but elegant inside. It looked...fairly recently renovated, but they did keep the original windows. Every single one is different, and none of them square. I had the Sole filet fried in butter, excellent. My partner went for the burger and also enjoyed it very much. Service was very quick, beer was very cold, no complaints. Just one, the three youg guys at the table next to us went for the Karren Blixen special. Obviously the Kro's special created to honour the famous local lady, and definitely the dish to go for. Just make sure you are hungry.
Went for lunch in the weekend without a reservation. They found a nice table for us and they brought our drinks shortly afterwards. My wife had ordered a special piece of smørrebrød with crabmeat and shrimps. It looked lovely and tasted very nice and my...wife was fullup after enjoying it. I had the Christiansøheering and a piece with smoked eel. Both very nice. It cremefraiche complemented the heering very well.
