What Katheryn Moen doesn't like about Patanella:
I would not go so far to say that this is one of the best places for an breakfast in the city, but they could certainly do much worse, and the collectors make for a point of difference that I really enjoyed. just don't try to kiss the wolverine. he is obviously forgotten to clean his teeth! Patanella has great coffee and a good range of truly beautiful food. The environment is fun, there's always fabulous music playing. Service is friendly and sincere. I'm delighted to have discovered this gem
Rose's place is fantastic. Her food is healthful or naughty according to your preference, and is always delicious. My mum and I ate there every day of our stay in Hobart. A big hearted, inviting place to eat, drink ,and pass the time.
The owner offers very gracious offered to serve in the past time of coffee - very glad that she has done it. Great coffee, classic baked goods made very good, intimate cafe space with beautiful ambience
Just tried Patanella’s the new salmon dish and it was absolutely a privilege to do so. And shaved asparagus is seriously a thing- yay! Punching way above yet again.
This place has really got it right. Interesting and tasty food, quirky but not ridiculous decor and a fun, friendly owner/manager (Rose). I had the Italian version of bubble an' squeak, Buna Buono, on my latest visit and it was delicious. Goes without saying that they also do great coffee.
