Nice outdoor setting on the busy streets, so a nice place to people watch. The pizzas are great and very well priced. Its good fun to watch the guys making them too. View all feedback.
What Lawrence Thompson doesn't like about Cargo Bar Pizza Lounge:
Started off ok with seating outside at 6pm with a highchair for our infant daughter. After we ordered the staff indicated it would be a 45min wait on food. A 'bonus' offer of garlic bread was offered within 10mins but we had to pay for it. No, it is not bonus. The entree was not delivered before the food & an hour & a half later our food came after complaining several times. The food wasn't worth the wait. Ne... View all feedback.
We have thrived on Monday night and have two pizzas and a bottle of red for $50. If we had eaten on Sunday, it would have been half-priced pizzas. great deals. Casual service, delicious eating with great choices of pizza, and a relaxed atmosphere in...a great location!
So disappointed. we have sunk tonight. we ordered garlic caabatta, arancini balls and a hoisin ente pizza because there were very good reviews for the ente pizza. the Arancini balls and pizza were delivered very quickly. they were not warm and actually quite a lot of room. temperature we sent them back. they came back warmer, but very quickly cold again. I find it hard to believe that the pizza was cooked in a wood stove. we asked for a recommendation for a tassie pinot noir. the waiter suggested 2 and allowed me to try the one I was not familiar with. a sip seemed ok, but unfortunately after some it proved very upset and very unpleasant.
Beautiful bar with a wide selection of local weeping and various drinks to try. Bar staff very knowledgeable and ready to find the right drink for them. Live music on Sunday arvo was excellent.
Great service, pretty good wood-fired pizza and in a beautiful, handy location. seems popular with the younger crowd, but as medium oldies we have enjoyed our visit very much,
I was given Cargo as a recommendation for wildfire pizza from my hotel. It was really not good. I definitely think they used supermarket bought bases. Definitely not a pizza you’d expect from wood fired. Toppings were ordinary as well. There has to be better...around.
