Black Buffalo Tavern & Restaurant

A group of us went to lunch at this restaurant and we were seated in a private room. Each table had 8-9 people and orders were taken promptly. However, there was a delay in serving the meals for one of the tables, which resulted in a 25 minute wait. This was unacceptable. The food was delicious and portions were generous. One suggestion for improvement would be to add a roast of the day to the menu, as this is always popular among older groups. The prices were reasonable and the drinks were also reasonably priced.

I called my mother and my wife for dinner. Always easy access with my mother's walker and really felt comfortable with their Covid security procedures. I had a steak, was great, but the so-called mushroom sauce had only 2 bits of fungus and tasted... like a basic engraving. Mama had the pig and was great, woman had chicken carving and loved the chips and salad. Great lunch.

Visited Black Buffalo for lunch today. Upon arrival there was hand sanitiser at the door to use before entry, which was great to see. Dining area was a good size and comfortable with a full bar for drinks. We were greeted with a friendly smile...and shown where we were sitting. The menu had a great selection from amazing scallops to garden salad and the good old fashion parmi and prices were good. Two options for orders, either with the waitress or use the app to order and pay (which was a brilliant idea to limit unnecessary close contact). The meals arrived all at the same time, the food was hot and fresh and portions were perfect. The staff were very friendly and always smiling.

This was a surprise being a tavern in northern Hobart and a bit out of the way. The meal was beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. The staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. The prices were very reasonable.

My friend and I stayed at this hotel for three nights in January 2020. The room designated for handicapped individuals was spacious and had plenty of room for my wheelchair. The wet room/bathroom was also well-equipped. We appreciated having breakfast brought to our room. Additionally, there is convenient handicapped parking close to the room. The hotel is located in North Hobart, which boasts a variety of restaurants. It is also easy to access different parts of Hobart from this location.
