The food at this restaurant is amazing and we dine here often. Unfortunately, the manager, Scott, is not great. On December 4th, we had a DoorDash order that was incorrect. When I called the restaurant to correct the mistake, Scott was busy and offered to refund the entire order instead of replacing it. What User doesn't like about Il Poggiolo:
My order was forgotten and not removed from the bill! I am very disappointed and frustrated. Mistakes happen, but not correcting them on the bill is unacceptable. I did enjoy the bread, which is why I am giving one star. View all feedback.
Do yourself a favor and go to Lucca in Oakbrook instead. Tried this place twice and between food, service, and atmosphere, I don't believe they deserve your business. Glasses were dirty, service was slow, they didn't have a full bar, entrees were bland. Standards need to be raised in every aspect
They don't take reservations on line and now I know why, it's so you can't write a review. We were treated terribly. I made a reservations for their outdoor seating and they wouldn't seat us in the main outdoor area because we were a couple and not a larger party. Even though we pointed out there were many open tables in the main area, they put us on the sidewalk. Five minutes after they seated us on the sidewalk, another party of two was seated in the main outdoor are. When I pointed that out they gave me the brush off. The table we sat at was not clean and when my wife sat down, her chair had a puddle of water she didn't see so she had to spend the entire meal all wet. Other issues, didn't present the special of the day to us, brown lettuce for the salad, gave our order to another table by mistake and then picked it up and brought it to us. So angry at myself that we didn't just leave. Apparently, the management discriminates and we weren't good enough for them.
I met a colleague from work for lunch and we sat outside under the tent. The service was excellent the food was delish. Alghough I live 45 minutes away I'd go back again and I highly recommend!

This spot offers wonderful service as well as delicious menu. My favorite spot in the area. The drinks and food came out rapidly and the rates were affordable. I recommend this place.
