We stopped in for an early dinner and didn’t have a reservation, but we were seated inside right away. The bread and olive oil were fantastic, though it would be even better with some spices mixed in. We ordered the lasagna and the sausage pasta, both of which were excellent. The lasagna was especially delightful, melting in your mouth. I considered ordering the mozzarella bites for an appetizer, but they actually co... View all feedback.
What Brian Designz doesn't like about Pomodori Italian Eatery:
I ordered takeout from the restaurant. The food was good, but it was lacking in sauce for all of our pasta dishes. Additionally, we only received three slices of bread for five meals. View all feedback.
Pomodori was our first choice to the 63. celebrating my wife's birthday during the vacation in Hilton Head. We requested a reservation on 10. November, and we could get a 5pm seat for two. We sat immediately and our server, Dillon, was there fast, gave us the specials for the night and asked if we wanted a drink. My wife had a nice zinfandel and I had a bright beer. Insalata, Cavolo e Pecorino and Antipasti, Zappa di Nonna were ordered and both were good tasting with the right amount of spices and textures. Warm bread was served with olive oil to complete the first course. My wife ordered the Gnocchi Al Pomodori and I ordered the Zuppa Di Pesce Con Arrabiata with mussels, scallops, shrimps and linguins. The gnocchi was delicate and tasty and the Zuppa was loaded with seafood cooked for perfection. Dessert consisted of Espresso Torte and Cannoli’s. Rave check on these two! Dillon was polite and knowledgeable for all menu items and very efficient. It was a great experience and fantastic way to celebrate a birthday. Great job!
Love , love this place. The food here is so authentic. Coming from the Philly area, the land of awesome Italian food, this place could stand up against the best in the big city. The strawberry salad with fresh basil was refreshing. The meatballs, wow, just like homemade if your home had an Italian grandmother! Cannolis finished off the meal. Casual vibe and first rate service make this a must stop. Until we meet again
Absolutely delicious Our first time eating there but won’t be our last. We sat at the bar and met Nate, our bartender and server. We went along with his recommendation of the scallop appetizer which was incredible. I had a chicken dish over couscous and my wife had Salmon Piccata. A couple came in and sat beside us at the bar, saw our dishes, and ordered the same. We all agreed this is a restaurant we will be coming to weekly. As a matter of fact, we went ahead and booked our reservations for each of the next two weeks. We found a perfect “10” place to eat. Thank you Nate
We have been here multiple times over the years and I’ve never been disappointed. The food is so fresh and so delicious! Wait staff is excellent and very attentive. The selection of wine is excellent. We went again tonight and had the special: cod over angel hair pasta which was to die for and my husband‘s all-time favorite gnocchi. To start, my husband had the pear salad which was so yummy. I had a side of sautéed spinach… Wonderful! Can’t wait to return. Good idea to always make a reservation ahead of time. They usually book up quickly because their food is so darn good.
We had a great experience and great food. They even had a kids menu as well. We will definitely go back there.
