This is definitely not a frills local spot. Food is good, traditional Hawaiian dishes with generous portions. I had the combination plate with Teriyaki pork and Hamburgerpatty with engraving. It came up with macaroni salad and I upgraded to fried rice. Much strength and very filling. This is not a place to go when you try to see what you eat. Service is friendly and attentive. Friendly staff with fast service. Let me say that and say that I can't get too much about the food, because perhaps my Californian taste is different from what these different foods offer and I have nothing really enjoy what I tried. I tried the Hawaiian, mixed plate and seed bowl. They were all edible and the bowl was probably better of the 3 but all in all food seemed dirty.
Eating was excellent, servers were great. I ordered the classic Loco moco. Too much for me. The classic had fried rice against white rice. Nice atmosphere. Fantastic restaurant to enjoy brunch with family and friends.
Very fast and friendly staff. We had the Laulau and it was better than advertised. The fried rice content is huge. My wife and children liked the chicken skins.
The lau lau combo (fried rice slow cooked pork and beef) is so good! The meat is tender. Leave is editable so don’t need to worry too much about peeling off. Location is amazing as well. Looking out to a park and there is outdoor seating as well.
