What User doesn't like about Sushi Maki:
Had the bento box. The portions were generous. Fried items tasted a bit heavy probably because the oil needs changing. Sushi rice was overcooked and was too sticky. Its taste was also a bit bland. Also, got a combo sushi plate to share. Sashimi was not too bad. Service was great. Staff was friendly. As a sushi joint, I would rate this as average compared to other places I have been in Portland. Prices are quite reaso... View all feedback.

I really love this place, it is hands-down my favorite sushi restaurant in PDX metro. The staff are amazing, and the food is top-notch. I tried the KFC roll for the first time on my most recent visit, it was very tasty. I love the Ohio roll as well, it's a great combination of flavors. Their yellowtail nigiri is also delicious, always super fresh.
When you need ? sushi rolls, miso soup ?, ? bento box; yakisoba noodles ?you will always receive the finest service, and most delicious edible creations here. Sushi and Maki have remained a favorite place to charge the soul, feed the need and just feel really welcomed. With huge appreciation ? This place, is the place. ?
Delicious food! The staff was very efficient and friendly. The food was well presented and the portions were larger than expected. The price was more than fair for the quality of the food. Will definitely go back!
I took my son here for what I was hoping would be a little snack after playing pinball and video games at Next Level down the road. We walked in around noonish and the whole place was empty. We sat down and looked at the menu. No lunch menu and no kids menu. This was disappointing to me. We ended up getting one roll each. I got the Zig Zag roll. This was one of the premium rolls it was $15.99. It was larger (about) 7 pieces. I gotta say it was really good. My son got the Ninja roll. He didn 't realize it had avocado on it but he really liked the sauce. Bottom line...the food was delicious but the pre-tip cost of $29+ was way to expensive. With my taste/appetite this would be unrealistic for a dinner out, even by myself. I would suggest a lunch menu and/or a kids menu.
