What Lela Predovic doesn't like about Cappuccino Corner:
Owner referred to WIC...as women in crisis ...he didn 't know I was standing in ear shot. This is the kind of person Hillsboro rents space to? Really?! I 'm done! View all feedback.
I came in to grab lunch and was treated so unbelievably rude after buying my food and complimenting the manager on how awesome the girl who helped me was. Only to have less than 5 minutes later another woman come from the back area, and told me to move the stuff I just bought off her counter , I was using the toaster to warm up my banana bread. I said okay, honestly taken aback. I did say I just bought my food and even said how great her co-worker was so I didn 't understand why she was so hostile. I went to sit down and eat when she began being even more rude. I went to ask the nice girl again to speak to the same woman I had just spoken to a few minutes prior but the hostile woman yelled at me and said she was gone back upstairs and that she was her boss, something that wasn 't true at all. I said I did not want to speak to her because she was hostile and she flipped out. Saying if I did not leave she would call security and the police. I walked back over to my things absolutely astonished at her behavior and actions and began to cry because I was overwhelmed by what had just happened. One of the people who work in the building caught the end of what happened and saw me and actually helped me get back in touch with Jen the actual manager. She was shocked by this girls behavior and said she was under a lot of stress and it was a misunderstanding . Well as I sat upstairs collecting myself as Jen her manager suggested I do the police showed up. Because she called them, she claimed I was out of control and refusing to leave. Oh and the reason she gave the police was, she also has a big dog . Yes you mean my fully trained and certified as well as clearly marked seizure alert dog. The officers were just as confused and disgusted by this woman 's behavior. I realize this is a long read but the excuses given for this woman to discriminate and act like such a horrid human for no reason whatsoever is worth taking the time to write this out. I hope the owner sees this and understands that this was excused because this girl was going through a lot , well no offense but we 're all going through a lot and it doesn 't give anyone the right to treat people the way she did. I shouldn 't have had to be put through that because she 's going through a lot . Maybe she needs some time off because interacting with customers is obviously too much pressure for her.
Owner named Dan is rude and treats employees bad. Had bad experience, won’t be coming back. Coffee is mediocre.
I love that this coffee shop is here in the Public Services Building. Any time I can get a good coffee from a family-owned business, I will. Personally, their breakfast panini is my favorite. The focaccia is savory and everything is fresh. Bonus: the staff remember your name and treat you like gold. Gotta love that!
This little place is in the County Public Service Building. There is no place for civilians to sit, but on a nice day you can sit at tables out back or take it to courthouse square and sit outside. Mostly it's designed for people to take food back to their county employee cubicles. Like me. They serve espresso, breakfast and hot or cold lunch sandwiches, soup, salads, yogurt parfaits, fresh fruit cups, and baked goodies. They occasionally have specials like terriyaki chicken or a daily panini special. If a panini has chutney get it, it's good. Also the tomato soup with grilled cheese or a tuna melt is pretty satisfying on a cold day. I've been consuming food from them once or twice a week for about 6 years. It's convenient. My favorite lunch is the turkey bacon avocado sandwich on wheat bread. The bread is good, from Grand Central Bakery or something like it, not cheapo smooshy bread. A sandwich with chips runs about $7 which is maybe a little high but the convenience part is worth it I think. at least that is how I rationalize it . I don't eat the chips, I usually give them away or if I remember I will pass them back to the cashier. The counter staff are usually friendly. They have had some turnover after a couple not so great counter people but it seems to be back on track. Dan, the manager owner? is great. If you get stuck with jury duty this isn't a bad option, it's right across from the court house. Just dont' generate a line when I want to get a quick lunch, ok? I gotta get my sandwich quick and drag it back to my cube.
