Boasting a diverse menu with ample vegan and gluten-free options, the establishment surprises diners with its unique take on Sri Lankan cuisine, moving beyond standard offerings. The ambiance is cozy and upscale, complemented by an impressive selection of spirits and wines. Service, though occasionally challenged by staffing, remains friendly and attentive, enhancing the overall dining experience. Perfect for a casual meal or a special celebration, it’s a must-visit for those seeking flavorful, authentic dishes in a welcoming setting.
The restaurant offers delicious food in a cozy atmosphere. We enjoyed sharing some authentic and flavorful curries. Although slightly pricier than other Sri Lankan restaurants in the area, the upscale ambiance and lovely decor make it worth it. The waiter was friendly and well-informed, showing dedication and effort put into the establishment.
Food was okay, I was expecting the food to be tastier but it was average. Poppadum and Cassava chips were really good. Also, I would like to mention they have put up a great deal for lunch. £5 for lunch options is great.
Wonderful local restaurant. Had a vegetarian meal, as my friend with me was and it meant we could share. We asked for recommendations as hadn't been there before. The waiter was spot on and extremely helpful. Food ordered, wasnt long till it arrived. Very tasty, spicy and full of flavour. Well recommended.
We visited this restaurant on a Sunday and were surprised to find it busy considering it had only been open for 3 months. The owner is an immigrant who has found success with their restaurant in Eastcote. Our server, Jay, did a good job despite being understaffed for the evening. The restaurant offers a great selection of spirits and wine, and the menu has a wide variety of vegan and gluten-free options. The only thing to be cautious of is confirming with the staff that their version of "mild" matches your expectations.
Turn off from the larger restaurant (same name in eastcote. all their Indonesian favorites are here in a less formal, cafe atmosphere. huh 65, ananas curry, lamps. and that lion stout (at 8.8%). very friendly service I recommend virundhu for another and delicious night out.
