This place seems to be a well kept secret. We had a group of about 20 or so, we did call a head a couple of days before, but they acted like we were the only ones in the place. Danny provides awesome service, and GREAT food! Not one of us had a complaint, and out of 20 people that's awesome! We'll be back, probably as a group, but I'm also looking for ward to being back if just me and the wife. View all feedback.
What Joe W doesn't like about Jilly's Cafe Steakhouse:
I kept hearing good things about Jilly 's, so I decided to give this place a try. I arrived late at night and the restaurant was almost dead. Hardly anybody was there besides a bar patron and a couple that finished their meal. I had a ribeye with a fully loaded baked potato and cole slaw. I kept hearing good things about Jilly 's, so I decided to give this place a try. I arrived late at night and the restaurant was almost dead. Hardly anybody was there besides a bar patron and a couple that finished their meal. I had a ribeye with a fully loaded baked potato and cole slaw. The slaw had a bit too much mayo, but the steak and potato was damn near perfect. The only issues I had were the lack of steak options. Where 's the porterhouse? Where is the prime rib? Only a few options were on the menu. That was it. You can 't call yourself a steakhouse with barely any steak options on the menu. Also, some of the seats were torn and worn out. $30 for a steak meal is a bit overpriced if the owner cannot replace worn out seating.
We finally gave Jilly's a try. We stopped in mid-afternoon on a Saturday. The bar side was busy, but we were the only people on the restaurant side. The decor in the restaurant was nice and the room is spacious. The menu offers a good selection of items. I ordered an apple chicken wrap. It was delicious! The biggest drawback to me is that since the bar is smoker-friendly, the restaurant also smells of cigarette smoke. It's not a major issue unless you're sensitive to it. I'm sure we'll be back.
Well, just to put it gently WOW! Wow.. I am talking out of the park! Steak medallions were a little spicier than I'm used to but the kick the Blu cheese made helped even out the flavor. The salmon was stuffed with a REAL CRAB mixture. The potatoes were mashed perfectly and everything was from scratch. I'm not sure what to make of the Brûlée , I can't believe I've lived this long with out it. I shall return! You have a repeat customer! Thanks for the great service! I think her name is Trish , and our food runner Danny? Or maybe Andy? I think, either way they both need a raise!??? Either way we will be back!
Mediocre experience. We arrived to a pretty dead bar area, so got greeted fairly quickly. As the night went on, more and more people pilled in, and our service went downhill quickly. I had to get up and go find our server/bartender three times to get the things we needed (utensils, boxes, drinks, checks). The space was incredibly loud by the time we met and there were several very intoxicated people sitting at the bar making it hard to have an enjoyable time. The pizza was pretty good and the beer was cheap.
