What a brilliant experience we had!!! Saturdays are for the Hermanuspietersfontein market, they have large local suppliers of cheese, cold meat, olives, fresh seafood such as pearls and alikruk and many great snacks. The best, Saturdays are free when you make wine tasting. Their wines are all delicious and have fascinating names. Friendly staff and knowledgeable. Had too much wine, but an absolutely big day. What User doesn't like about Hermanuspietersfontein Wines:
Nice place, fair wine but service was not great. Didn’t get to know any of the wines other than the booklet I was offered when we walked in. Creative and fun to an extent, but would have loved for someone to give me some more information about the wine. View all feedback.
Simply visit one of the best wine destinations while in the western Cape. Excellent wines, a great wine tasting place, friendly and very knowledgeable staff and excellent wines. A quick summary: Kaalvoet Meisie was always one of my favorite whites, with Kat-met-die-houtbeen near the heels. I was recently introduced to Kleinboet (a full-bodied but gentle Bordeaux mixture). After tasting their full offer, I can really say that every wine is place. I will still enjoy Kaalvoet Meisie on a hot summer day when I light the Braai, and I will still enjoy small boet with a greasy lamb chopper, but I see myself stealing a sip blotos as I pour it for my wife and my mother. I can also imagine sitting around on a winter evening with a bottle (or two) of Posmeester and then slowly immersing on a queue with a beautiful Mutton Potjie. I can definitely also see that I have a few bottles of Skoonma while I watched Lukhanyo I make a joke about the All Black defense. You can taste the passion, love and effort in every bottle of their delicious wines. I'm back. As often as I can!
