the ordered chicken burger and cattle burger, although the inn was nice and the staff very friendly the food was moderate and dry, the burger were the size of the beer mats. a beautiful beside salad would have been nice. for sub £16 burger king would have been better. £41 better spent elsewhere. Brexit meant the usual fight for the personal. the staff was always very friendly and helpful. our room was very kosy, but good for a few days. Eating was very impressive and beverage selection was impressive. lots of space and lots of parking are available. a short walk to the impressive goodrich burg. for us they let themselves be of the fact that the hostelrie is dog friendly. if they are a dog, then ideal for them. we are not and do not like to eat and drink with dogs.
Delicious and beautifully presented food. Lamb with pea puree and fondant potato was particularly good. The spacious dining room is very attractive. Friendly and helpful service.

I don't often feel the need to wax lyrical about a goats cheese ciabatta, but The Hostelrie has changed things... absolutely delicious food, impeccable service, and an lovely host. We may be back for wine. Yum.
