I walked here from Chedworth and found this pub to be delightful. I loved the fried chicken in a basket, and my friend enjoyed her curry. We are looking forward to coming back in the summer to relax in the beer garden by the river. View all feedback.
What Terribleskier doesn't like about Mill Inn:
Being locals we thought to try the mill again having given up going due to the awful food and ridiculously expensive poor quality drinks it’s all Samual Smith) that we’d experienced two landlords ago. It’s such a shame that this wonderful building is let down by the below average food how is it possible to have soggy and burnt fish at the same time), lack lustre welcome from the new landlady and incredibly expensive... This cozy pub is a wonderful place to warm up by the crackling open fires after a chilly winter walk. Our Sunday lunch was a bit inconsistent, but the attentive service and lovely surroundings more than made up for it. We look forward to visiting again in the spring to relax in the stunning riverside garden.
We had a wonderful experience at this charming traditional pub. The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly and attentive. Thank you for a lovely evening, we will definitely be coming back.

During on our walk we stopped in for lunch, the building is a beautiful traditional English pub with an old fashioned open fire, the staff were very welcoming. We had Trio of Roast and Scampi and chips, which was very good, the only let down was the 2 roast potatoes and they weren't par boiled so they weren't fluffy with crispy, it was nice to have a proper home made yorkshire pudding and the meat portitions were generous. We plan on visiting again.
2nd visit and 2nd time there was dogs muck in the pub garden, assuming it’s the owners. Surely a check before the pub opens would be a good idea. I reported this to the bar girl but she didn’t seem bothered and it was still there when we left an hour later. Families with young children beware if they are running around the garden. The dog was out of control when we arrived, the landlady couldn’t catch it and she was running around in her dressing gown trying to catch it, awkward. The pub opening time should be 12pm but opened at 12.05/12.10pm. when you’ve been on a long walk and you’re thirsty and hungry, not great. I was the first one in the ladies toilet and it clearly had’t been cleaned from the night before, not great just before I’m about to eat. The chicken in a basket wasn’t great, baskets not great neither was the chicken. Won’t be returning.
