Great spot, overlooking the sea, service is always great. Food is great, never have to worry about getting a bad meal.. top notch for drinks menu too! Ambience is just lovely. Will keep visiting and bring friends for their first time. This place is worth sharing! View all feedback.
What Captain Halliday doesn't like about Bacchus Wine Bar:
This place is one of a growing number of restaurants that allow dogs inside. While I’m personally opposed to this, my major objection at Bacchus was that wait staff were patting dogs and resuming their duties without washing their hands. Pandemic or not, surely hygiene is top priority for any cafe, bar or restaurant. Clearly not for Bacchus. The food here was well presented and tasty, though service was slow. Prices... Bacchus had a Re-Vamp and looks great. it was a beautiful evening at henley square and that was a great place for a few cocktails and a sea view. service is very friendly. the drinks arrived immediately and were delicious.
The food here is absolute müll. came only to the breakfast here, because we could not be disturbed to foot on 100 meters to the other places around the square. the smashed avo was laid on a rock hard piece brot, no effort or no passion in cooking what ever. I didn't even make myself a photo because I wanted to save myself later from the vomiting. this place is only good for the rodels who want to spend their afternoon to be swallowed. pain
Had the antipasto plate for lunch with some beer and cocktails, absolutely loved it! came back later and got the nachos and more drinks, afteros were in order, but not enough cheese, and the garlauchbrot was average. the cocktails are a little expensive, but there is a good choice and the beers are good price. the best is the location, great view on the henley beach and a beautiful place for drinks. would they define, go back and get another plate and drinks
Service: very accommodating. we were greeted by a beautiful dame at the door and shown where we sit with our poor of dogs. the girls behind the bar went out of the way to make some refreshing passion fruit drinks while the dogs absolutely pampered eating: sharing platter was good, and enough for 3 of us to choose. the fish, huh and tinted fish were great, a what the pita and dives. the halumi, however, was somewhat disappointing. the k9 menu was a hit and even the fussiest dog couldn't turn it off. ambiente: very relaxed. more open space we didn't feel we had to climb over people to get to our place. for more!
This wine bar/restaurant on The Esplanade and overlooking Henley beach is only open on Friday Sunday currently so we lucked out on eating out here for dinner. It was cold outside but toasty inside and we nabbed a spot near a heater. It can get loud in here due to amount of people especially groups which create a cacophony of sound The meal service is order and pay at the bar, get your table number and they'll deliver the food and drinks to you. Service was friendly and quick. They had a few specials on the menu tonight and we opted to have them. I had the Lamb Shank which was served on a bed of mashed potato and served with a Mediterranean sauce. The lamb was quite a large portion...read more
