restaurant randomly selected to go along the street. 4 people have chosen 4 different dishes, and all were enthusiastic: 1- stein Pilzrisotto = excellent!!! 2 calfs in sauce = great!!! 3- spaghetti with seafood = too much good!4- the tenderness and medium-rare French entrecôte = perfect! all flushed down with an excellent nero d’avola from sicily and the friendliness of the waitress, who also spoke a little French -... What Emanuel Popp doesn't like about Cavallino Bianco:
the best thing this restaurant has is the esplanade with view of the hills and the heidelberger castle. the service is not bad and eating, especially Italian cuisine, is not particularly good. the prices are average, not in consideration of the table water, just as the value for...Money View all feedback.
Excellent food and service. The grilled octopus was the tenderest one I ever gave. Large restaurant
Good service and food. We like the atmosphere. Great experience in Heidelberg.
A very good Italian restaurant in Hiedelberg's downtown. Italian spoken.
Lovely location. Anything positive stops there. We ordered a couple of drinks rolling our eyes at the exorbitant prices but overlooked it for the location. Then we decided to eat as well which was the biggest mistake we made. We ordered the special menu, wild garlic pasta and prawn risotto. Pasta was ok nothing special to write about. The risotto however was a disaster, in fact my partner who ate it has been in bed for two days with suspected food poisoning. Risotto was over cooked to a mush and prawns were over seasoned probably to mask the quality (lack thereof). This was the first bad meal we’ve had since arriving in Germany and were bitterly disappointed. Steer clear!
On 14.8.2016 we ordered "spaghetti siciliana" and "insalata pecorino" for 11,90 eur each. To this day, I cannot explain why the dishes were called so if the original ingredients are not even found in the food. instead, dose vegetables, exceptionally fresh, prepared slightly sweet and served by attentive but rather underpaid students.
