Café Grano - Heidelberg

Dropped in for a coffee after lots of travel to get to Heidelberg and walking around the castle. Really welcoming host, perfect coffee and one of the best cheesecakes ever, light and perfectly executed. Gorgeous cafe, lovely place to gather our energy before heading out...to explore the old town. Many thanks!

Good place for quick refreshment after a stop at the castle above. We wanted to go to the popular student hang-outs—Seppls Roter Oxen—but they were closed on a Sunday. We enjoyed beer wine in an outdoor setting. Met a tour leader who lives...in Heidelberg. She brought her group here. Nice setting and quite popular.

A really nice café bar to relax and take a drink and snack whilst taking the weight off your tourist feet.

We basically camped out here looking out over the Kornplatz in the Altstadt on the last afternoon of our weekend trip to Heidelberg sheltering from the cold and damp outside having discovered it the day before. The hot chocolate was delicious, the coffee smooth but...the best was the raspberry cake it looked like a slab of something heavier but it was actually beautifully light and so easy to eat a lot of it! The staff were also very pleasant and helpful.
