I really enjoyed the atmosphere, and our waitress was incredibly helpful! We ended up spending over $100, but that was because we sampled a variety of dishes. The snake dish was fantastic! I will definitely return. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Fuki Hayden:
The sushi was far from fresh. The menu seemed to lean heavily towards hot dishes, which we discovered after asking a few nearby customers. We ordered steak and rice, but it was a disappointment. I was really hoping to find a great sushi place in Hayden with regular hours. I’m giving it 2 stars because the service was friendly and the tempura was good. View all feedback.
Really nice, clean building. great eating. the Hibachi cook trained a new cook, but he did a great job and eating was really good. we had to wait a bit for a table, but that's normal considering how the things work for hibachi. eating was really delicious with generous portions. would recommend!
Awesome place, food was excellent. The chef was very interactive with us. I would highly recommend and we will definitely visit the place again in the future.
I have been to Fu-Ki several times but quit going about a year ago as the sushi I 'd had was always poorly made (falling apart) and every roll seemed to be stuffed with fake crab, even ones which didn 't have it in the description. We went back tonight because my daughter and her friend wanted to do a special dinner and I thought the dinner show at the teppan tables would be fun. It was one of the most bizarre experiences I 've had in a long time.... I 'm giving it 2 stars purely due to the amount of food provided and the fact that the veggie meal was really flavored well. My main complaint was our chef. First of all, he began our dinner with a prayer, a lengthy one. I thought at first he was kidding, but he prayed on and on while we awkwardly sat there wondering if it was all a joke. He then started our show which mostly consisted of him yelling out comments to people at all the other tables, including bringing a poor girl over to ours and having us sing happy birthday to her while he called her the wrong name then asked if she was 7. She was 9 and looked mortified by the experience and he screamed God bless you as she went back to her table. This was clearly a distraction from his lack of griddle cooking skills, which were not more than anyone at our table could have done. During dinner he repeatedly called me your mom to my poor friends daughter, despite having told him numerous times the other girl was my daughter. It was awkward for all of us, and sadly the food, with the overcooked shrimp and pink salad dressing which left you wondering where in the hell that combination of colors could have come from, did not make up for this cringeworthy and expensive meal.
Wow did I have a bad visit to Fuki Hayden. I was the first customer (I thought) when I ordered two rolls to go at 5:01. I was lied to the first time being told 15 minutes to my order completion. Customers came in and picked up to go orders that they called in…really? I made three calls before 5:00 all got the VM saying the box is full. After 40 minutes and being told any minute my food would be ready (watching people being served that arrived a half hour after I ordered) I demanded my food or money back.A “good” manager would have offered me some token roll to appease me. Tracy did nothing to save me as a customer. The rolls are good…their service and management are terrible. This WAS my favorite place to eat in Hayden. Check out the other bad reviews…not a single one responded to by management like quality restaurants try to do. This restaurant is absolutely one to avoid. I hear downtown there are a couple of good sushi places.
Best part is the chef, who works basically by himself. As soon as he was done on one grill he got a new cart of food and immediately went to the next. Very friendly and personable. Used to have soup and salad, but now you choose one. I asked for an extra egg for the fried rice and was not charged, so that was nice. The food was good, plenty of leftovers to take home.
