As someone from Texas who has not been impressed with the Mexican food options in LA, I decided to stop by this restaurant on our last day in the city before heading to the airport. I wish we had found this place sooner! The customer service was excellent and the frog legs were delicious. The salsa and chips were also tasty. I'm grateful that the restaurant Mi California was closed, otherwise we would have missed out... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Raul's Casa Sombrero:
We tried the enchiladas and flautas, but neither were good. The sauce on the enchiladas tasted like basic sauce, and the flautas were made with corn tortillas. In my opinion, they would be better with flour tortillas. View all feedback.
This is our favorite Mexican restaurant to visit. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Make sure to stop by on Saturday or Sunday for their delicious Menudo - it's the best! They are also well-known for their enchiladas.

The owner of this restaurant is amazing. He truly cares about his customers. The Menudo and salsa here are the best I've ever had. I've been coming here for about 20 years now. You really have to give it a try.
This is my friend's restaurant that serves delicious and authentic Mexican cuisine. The staff is exceptional and truly adds to the overall experience.
I have to mention the chips and salsa before anything else in this review. The chips are decently thick and not too salty, while the salsa is deliciously chunky and spicy. The overall food quality is above average, with slightly dry asada but tasty enchiladas. The service was excellent with attentive staff. I would suggest opting for the enchiladas over the tacos at this restaurant.
