Ate at the ranch for breakfast this last weekend. We each ordered the 1/2 breakfast for $4. Eggs were perfectly prepared, sausages were not greasy, fries were perfect. The portion was perfect for a lighter bite. Lots of choice for jams on the table. Coffee was hot and replenished without asking. Service was friendly and fast, and they had a colouring sheet and crayons ready for my son. I couldn't have asked for anyth... View all feedback.
What Iris Vogt doesn't like about The Ranch:
My wife and I went to the Ranch hoping to have a nice supper of fish and chips. After waiting 15 mins to get our coffees and water and 40 minutes before we got our meal. I ordered the 2 piece and the wife 1.I found the fish was somewhat greasy and the French fries had been deep fried, cooled and redone.IF you have LOTS of time and don't mind waiting for 45 minutes go to the Ranch. WowWalked in for a quick bite and since I had a dog in the car I wanted to quickly place my order and get back to the car. Such a helpful young lady at the cash - took my order and even brought it out to me at the car. I had previously seen large groups outside the restaurant and this was no exception. Probably 15 people standing chatting outside after their lunch. All friendly and clearly happy with the lunch. Mine was great and even too many fries. Loved it.
We generally only go for the breakfast and I would have to say it is very tasty and good, the service is excellent and the people are very friendly.

Since the fire and the change of ownership I find the Ranch is no where near what it was. There never seems to be enough staff and the girls that are working and trying to keep their patrons happy, are run off their feet.Beings this is the Thanksgiving weekend I would have thought that there should have been more staff working. I was wrong.
We've been to this restaurant a few times in the last few years. On a Saturday night, which is when we usually go, the place is always packed. I'm not sure where everyone is coming from since the restaurant seems to be in the middle of almost no where, yet is always busy with people so they must be doing something right. The food is always good although on this past Saturday night I think they could have been more generous with the meat on the Montreal Smoked Meat sandwich. The home made burger, however, was delicious. French fries were good - too bad they're not fresh, home cut fries. In the past I've really enjoyed the hot beef sandwich too.The washroom was pretty clean. The atmosphere is plain, maybe even a bit utilitarian. The chairs are not overly comfortable. The only real complaint we have is with the speed of service. The waitresses are always friendly and professional but, maybe because they are so busy, they are sometimes slow to take our order and even slower for the kitchen to put out our orders. So, if you're not in a really big hurry, this is a great place to eat if you're in the area.
