Mcgillicafey's Pub Eatery - Hastings

My wife and I dined at this restaurant for the first time last night, and we both agreed that it will not be our last. The meal was incredibly delicious, and we enjoyed sitting on the terrace on a beautiful summer evening. Our server, Summer, was truly fantastic, providing one of the best culinary experiences we have ever had. We highly recommend this pub/restaurant to anyone who asks! Keep up the great work, and we look forward to returning in the future.

This restaurant is located on Water Street, along the Trent-Severn waterway, with a castle overlooking the road, making it a perfect stop for travelers. There is a beautiful waterfront just steps away, and during our visit, there was a boat festival with live music, providing a lot to explore and enjoy in the area. The restaurant itself is very clean and well-maintained. We chose to sit on the terrace with a view of the water, enjoying the relaxing sound of rushing water nearby after spending most of the day in the sun. The interior had a nice bar, and although we were early for the live entertainment later in the evening, we were able to enjoy some great specials on beer and appetizers in celebration of the restaurant's one-year anniversary. My BBQ pulled pork sandwich was delicious, with a flavorful BBQ sauce and just the right portion size. From pulled pork to BBQ chicken to fish and chips, all of our meals were tasty and arrived hot, with an appropriate waiting time. The friendly waitstaff checked on us several times during our meal, refreshing our drinks and ensuring we had everything we needed. The only complaint I have is that the appetizer portions were a bit small, leaving my kids wanting more. However, the size of the main meals more than made up for it. Overall, it was a great experience for both travelers and locals alike.
