This is one of my favorite spots for breakfast. I often come here with my girlfriend. The place is small and uncomplicated, but the atmosphere is perfect. My expectations are always met, the prices are very reasonable, and I consistently enjoy my meals. We had a tuna sandwich and Ashley’s Special 2 for lunch (or brunch, really). The service is always fast. The only recommendation I have is that they should offer tabl... View all feedback.
What Jevon Deckow doesn't like about Ashley's:
Me and some friends are fans of dining at places that we can't find at home. Unfortunately our experience here was less than stellar. The staff forgot alot of things and took very long to get with us. The saving grace was that the food was great. To be fair this place looked very understaffed but for what its worth I would try this place again for the food alone. View all feedback.
We had a big breakfast with pancake eggs and turkey bacon that was absolutely delicious. our waitress was friendly and very pleasant. we have received our food in time and really enjoyed our visit. we need to get to know the owner and she is quite a diva. She shared her story about how everything started, so I really remained inspired by this family business.
Overall, this place is a nice spot to get breakfast or lunch in a central part of Hartford. There was a steady flow of people in and out so that was a good sign. But there are some things that I took note of...We moved to Hartford about 2 weeks ago, and this is the first restaurant we ate at for breakfast. Since this was our first time, we didn't know to seat ourselves (there was no sign) so we stood awkwardly in the entrance for a couple of minutes. The place wasn't overly busy, plenty of tables still open, no one acknowledged us or greeted us. When we decided to seat ourselves, no one came to the table for at least 10 minutes. But when someone finally came to our table, they were very friendly! We ordered a typical breakfast (eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns) and it was fine. Afterall, it's hard to mess up breakfast.
Restaurant was clean and quiet. The staff were extremely attentive with the added bonus of being kind. Food is home-style cooked doesn't look like frozen pre cooked re heat able junk food.Vegetarian options: Standard options.Parking: May be difficult if location is busy.
Food was great, staff was friendly and helpful. The lady who's part of the staff from Greece was so nice and a real treat to meet. Location is a little questionable but that's the only downside of the restaurant. From the front doors in, it was a very good experience.
I was looking for a place to get a quick breakfast and found Ashley's. It's a cute little diner type establishment! It's a no-frills restaurant that provides a hot, tasty meal! I ordered at the counter from the cook and it seems that just as I got settled, my order arrived. Everything was hot and tasty!
