Beautiful Peruvian / Mexican restaurant in a picturesque Lilien district, near Expo Plaza/Hannover Fairgrounds. Our server was a young man who spoke perfectly English and Spanish! Definitely a plus for us Americans!!! We also met the owner and her husband, very sweet and helpful! Delicious experience, we loved the lemon cured fish 'cebiche ' and beef heart 'anticuchos ' both 'main course-size starters.
We had a short in Hannover and was accidentally find this restaurant. This lovely restaurant is hide in the the residence area, guess not much people would find it. But its really worth to try the original Mexican and Peru cuisine. Surprised us is Cebiche (Ceviche), its raw fish in lime juice with coriander. Seco de res its beef and beans in Coriander sauce with rice. It would be good if the beef can be more tender. 'Pastel azteka like Lasagne. Would like to try more vaious cuisine for our next visit.
Very nice and cozy, good food This photo is Mexican steak.
For Peruans we had the yuca Fries, the Lomo Saltado, the Parrillada (mixed grill) and the Pollo/gallina en Aji. They were all very delicious and authentic! For the Mexican farewell we tried the Enchiladas. The red sauce they came in was more a pasta sauce than a Mexican red sauce, but still very good. The one thing I was a little disappointed was the Peruvian drink Chicha Morada, it was a bit amazing. All in all I loved it absolutely and recommend it!
I would like to thank the host for their hospitality. You are very nice and friendly. We didn't know they were closed at 9 a.m., so we slept at 9 a.m. and asked to take some menus and they were very nice to stay 30 minutes after their closing time to prepare our dishes. A must and a cultural experience in Hanover!
