The staff was incredibly helpful and recommended various meats they had available, allowing me to choose the one I wanted to try. The inside of the premises was clean and we were greeted promptly by the friendly hostess and seated. A complimentary basket of chips, the house tomato sauce and pico de gallo was also brought after a slight delay. I was amazed with the kindness I experienced in this place. Cathie is an amazing woman and bartender. I went alone and didn't expect the amazing treatment I got. I was received and felt like a normal one right away. The portions are huge and I was able to make my left overs last a few days. The trip is worth and will be back soon.
I love this restaurant! It has very good authentic Mexican food. The food is always a great level of spice and portion! I will say the salsa is a bit mild but other than that it could not be better! I would drive over an hour to try it out if I were you!
The food is always great. I got to be honest the last two times we were there the service was not very good. Waitresses did not come around and ask if we needed refills. Finally one of the more experienced waitresses came and serviced what we needed and took our to go order.
-10 RATE!! We came in with a smile and our daughters. Definitely the worst experience for our first time! We waited 10 mins for our waitress, my friend and I noticed that waiter was sitting down and assisting others. We had to flag down another waiter, she took our order. They mess up our order. Never came to check up on us. Honestly we the only black/Latina women customers in the restaurant. We did not deserve that disrespect!
Loved El Taco Real in Hammond, IN. The food was amazing and at an affordable cost. The customer service and dining ambiance was excellent. Recommend the enchiladas and Carne asada tacos.
