However, many praised the generous portion sizes, friendly staff, and delicious flavors. The cozy ambiance and accommodating staff were also highlighted as positives. Special shoutouts were given to Chef Santino for his exceptional service and ability to cater to specific dietary needs. Overall, the restaurant seems to have its ups and downs, with some customers expressing a desire to return for the good food but feeling wary of potential service issues.
I enjoyed a tasty gluten-free pizza at this restaurant! The menu provided a thorough explanation of the gluten-free substitutes available and offered a wide variety of options.
I've been a number of times now. From the panini to the salads, pastas and, calzones I haven't had a bad meal. The spicy oil tops the list though.
We enjoyed our lunch at the Express Italian Eatery. Our server seemed a bit overwhelmed, as she was the only waitstaff working. When the busser came over to answer our question, she seemed annoyed with him and he was only trying to help. We ordered the prosciutto classico and spaghetti alla milanese. The food quality and quantity were very good. We will visit again.
We had a reservation for six people. We were seated at our appropriate time. We waited at our table for 15 minutes before we were even approached by anyone. When one the wait staff finally approached, we were asked if we could move to another table, because they had a reservation for a party of 20 that they completely forgot about. Fine. No problem. The waitress (assuming head waitress) we had said that she's been having to handle all of the large parties herself that evening, because none of her other staff would be able to. Talking negatively about your staff doesn't make you look better. Quite the opposite. When we finally got our drink orders, a few of them were not right. For our inconvenience, we were given a platter of their house salad. While the food did take a while to finally get to us, it was quite good. Decent size portions and good flavour. On the evening we were there, the restaurant was quite loud though. At the end of the meal, the waitress offered to comp our house salad (which we never ordered anyway), and a single coffee. Long story short, the good food will have us come back eventually, but we are not in a hurry.
We recently visited this little Italian restaurant in Westdale Hamilton with our family. We have actually gone back 3 times since. The food is very good with lots of selection. Try the meatballs very tasty. The excellent pizza is baked in a stone fired oven. There are so many items we all tried and thought were very good to many to list. You won't be disappointed. Their wine selection and prices are quite decent too. We will definitely be back. Make reservations on busy nights.
