We had been out all day in Hamburg and around; by the time we were more or less at our hotel, we realised we had not booked anywhere to eat. It was around 18.30, it was cold and the thought of looking around didn't appeal - so we tried here. To be honest, we were very surprised - the place didn't look that good from out side but the food was very good and the service was excellent. the wine was reasonably priced and... View all feedback.
What Carolanne DuBuque doesn't like about Restaurant Safran:
poor service and maintenance as they do not take cards and do not inform about them, but have card readers. I was in many Persian restaurants, but never as much as the dishes we ate here. too easy and no love in that. View all feedback.

We were grownups, and visited this restaurant for dinner and dessert. The portions are big, the food is very good, and the restaurant is nice, the waiter is kind and helpful : and it's not very expensive
We chose this restaurant for dinner because we wanted to try something different, and it looked promising. We were not disappointed. We ordered one lamb cooked in its own sauce with rice and one chicken with pomegranate and walnut sauce. The lamb was unbelievably tender,...practically falling from the bones by itself; and the sauce was amazing. The chicken's sauce was very thick, with a perfect balance between acid and sweet spices, while the meat itself was extremely tender. Both dishes came with a great side of rice, ideal to match the sauce. We definitely recommend it
Right at the exit of tube station Berliner Tor to IBM and Firefighters, one can't get lost! The lunch menu is restricted to items, ranging between and euros, but all of very good taste. As usual in such restaurants for lunch, more...rice than meat but it's all tasty and with special Arabic spices
The food is like home cooked very nice, tasty, and well presented. The waitress was really friendly and helpful. And for all the food and the drinks glass of wine, bottle of water, glass of tea, appetizer, lamb dish it costs less than Another plus for tourists I don't speak German, she didn't speak English, but was very friendly and willing to explain, to help, and they have menus in English. Thank you
