La Madera - Hamburg

I don't like to write negative or disappointing critikens, but sometimes the experiences are so. my last few dining room experiences were really good, so it might be time to get out average things. So it's here. group for a birthday on a Tuesday night service. not existent. massively underoccupied and the personal seemed burdened and stressed. They can see that they are busy and everywhere. no one at the entrance to check reservations, only confused customers who look at each other. we went for everything they can eat option: steak came cold and therefore chew. grund. teller probably cannot be given for a because before the delivery of pork ribs excellent prawns good candle for the birthday cake no sorry. (do not even have the effort to ask for a reason). even though we drink something for the birthday boy. did not check the bill, provided it was free. food consumption: all went for everything they can eat. the servier size was quite huge (for us and therefore we fought to finish what was offered. not even a person asked for a refill of one of the courts. Therefore we asked them politely that we would rather take it instead of throwing away the food. we take responsibility for asking health and hygiene. at this place I repeat, we did not ask for a single refill, everything was like after the original service. I guess what, answer was no. the discarding of eating makes more sense than someone who takes responsibility to take the food. we even urged to pay for it instead of throwing it. Perhaps this was our fault by having a wrong order, but we tried to correct it, I do not see the point of such food waste. in a steak and meat lover, felt guilty of my decisions.

As a regular costumer went today with friends for tapas and was absolutely disgusting! the sale they brought was miserable, old salad, slices of tomaten, slices o zucchini, no dressing, before after the first...lockdown, was fresh looking, the feta cheese was amazing, now, terrible. the Rosmery potatoes had no rosmery, were not al boiled kartoffels that garnel, all over boiled, the meat, cheap, greasy unbeautiful and horrific, each individual dish was a horror, again, I am a regular customer there. everyone hated his court, I spoke to the manager and they really did not care ... well, make sure that today, they la madera, have at least customers for well lost, all their food was rough and unbeatable also for the people who order from the menu, overcokeed fish from “Lidl” with a discussing mix of flour and milk! to break!

We went there twice and enjoyed eating each time. the service was ok and we had no problem there. we sat fast, had high chair for infant and also children's menu was available.

Fast to reach when they stay in the Poppenbuttel/Wellingsbuttel area. we went in and sat fast. the staff was prompt and spoke well English. eating was not cheap, but very good, the steak was excellent.

Love this place!! Specially the potato soufflé they serve.. the only reason I am not giving a stars review is because the serve very very small portions, last time I was there my potato soufflé was way to small so I ask the waiter...for a bigger one and she said she couldn’t do anything about it, not even paying extra.
