I’ll say almost non-existent until I came here.I believe I was greeted by the owner who was so nice and sweet. The beautiful location and well thought-out decor puts a smile on your face surely.For the food, we ordered a Margherita and butter chicken pizza. Being a native of the home of the original butter chicken, I can confirm the taste was extremely authentic. I did get a chance to have a quick chat with the chefs who were really enthusiastic and friendly. Our server Kendra was also super helpful.This one earned a special spot in my heart for sure. Will be back again soon.
Our server Steve was really good. You could tell he really likes where he works and he shared his opinions on the food. It was very insightful.The pizzas were amazing, I had mine, the Bacio Siciliano and loved it, the prosciutto with the mozzarella, so good.Then I had a slice of my wife's, WOW, amazing flavours, the roasted garlic sauce as a base was amazing, but the sliced meatballs with insanely delicious mushrooms stole the show.Thought we were going to Piatto, but very happy to discover the new place.Highly recommend it.
Tried out the lunch special at the restaurant as recommended by my daughter and it didn’t disappoint. Our server was attentive and a nice wide variety of wood fired pizza selections.My only comment was the dessert (chocolate mousse) was supposed to be on a sponge crumble and vanilla ice cream but was served in a mason jar.Otherwise a quaint spot.
Great spot! Very warm atmosphere and attentative service. The new owner Vesso introduced himself and made us feel at home. I had the butter chicken pizza and my wife went with the Calazone. Both were excellant choices and we each shared a bit of each meal.Vegetarian options: Vegie pizza selections available. Probably others.Parking: Much easier to find free parking after 6 PM. We parked just accross the street.
I enjoy everything about this restaurant, the service, coffee, cocktails, pizza, Caesar salad and pasta are all exceptional. It’s rare in Halifax to find a restaurant with an espresso machine and staff that know how to use it.The atmosphere was really busy, fun, cozy and friendly. The staff work extremely hard, run off their toes but don’t miss a beat.We once had a car accident out front and had to wait several hours for CAA to come and they just let us flop there at the bar the whole time. Thank you for the kindness ?!
