I'd read about this place and then forgot it. Until tonight when I walked by. Am I EVER glad I came in!! The schezuan beef appetizer is wonderful and very generous in portion. They will adjust the spicyness for you. The shrimp vegetable spring roll was light, crispy and tasty, and not greasy at all. And then the dumplings... wow! I chose the shrimp and pork special steamed. They are amazing!!!! You can have them with... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Qiu Brothers Dumplings:
Not sure what people are raving about here, but the quantity, quality and cost of these dumplings was not worth the visit. Have eaten dumplings in many locales and cities, but never finished off in this way. Not much variety in the fillings either. The price was too high for what you got, and the 'tea' was a joke. A cup of something lukewarm was served, and when we asked for 'green tea', we got tiny thimble-size 'cup... View all feedback.
The food is from a simple menu and tastes delicious! the portion is too home and attentive. so far in the nights I had szechuan beef, szechuan shredded huhn, i garnel fried rice, pan roasted bark wobble.
We had the Sechewan-Rind (from the writing) as an appetizer. it is a cold dish that was surprising but very tasty. the fried pork dumplings were delicious! we also had the sweet meat that was fresh and tasty. would recommend the other.
Atmosphere: clean and tidy. tables were comfortable and not overcrowded. the service was a little slow. foods: gurken garlic, wonton suppe, bark meat lambs (pan fried). everything was amazing. I can't wait to go back.
The dumplings tasted authentic and portion-sized reasonable. the prices are also good. the design of the deform is a bit amateurish, not what I would think of a skillful packaging. does not affect the taste such a small point and the fact that it is now available. as an independent filiale in halifax is amazing enough.
My second time to try Qiu Brothers Dumplings. The dumplings and noodles were great and I tried a new appetizer this time... the Chili Sour Shredded Potato Salad. Was just a little spicy so don't worry if you don't like really spicy food. Last...time I got the steamed dumplings but tried pan fried this time and I will stick with that from now on. While I like the steamed dumplings the pan fried to me has a better texture. The meal was served very quickly and you can also buy frozen dumplings to take home if you like. Should definitely check them out if are downtown and looking for a quick tasty meal.
