Look Ho Ho Restaurant - Halifax

The Look Ho Ho restaurant has been around for a long time and the food is consistently good. This is one of two Chinese restaurants I go to for lunch when I get a craving for Chinese food. The food is always the same, no surprises, good, bad or otherwise.

My friend speaks so highly of this restaurant so I was expecting really good food. The best thing I had was the wonton soup. It had generous amounts of dumplings. The other food was average if not disappointing. I heard wonderful things about the eggs rolls but I couldn't eat mine. The filling was unidentifiable puréed meat and I couldn't stand the taste or texture. The waitress said people either love them or hate them. The place was packed with people picking up take out so some dishes must be good. The waitresses are wonderful. They are welcoming, friendly and efficient. The staff and the wonton soup moved this review rating from a poor to average.

Have eaten here since I was a child with my family, the food still tastes as good as it did then. The restaurant is very clean, washrooms are immaculate and well kept. I observed the take out being of a timely and efficient manner.

This place is ok if you are in a pinch. I was told the egg rolls were to die for, but they are way different than I was expecting, some kind of dark meat inside them?? However, the price was right and it did the job.

Everytime i call the girl on the phone is really mean. She needs some customer service experience. I ordered 20 some dollars worth of food the delivery guy told me if i got a few egg rolls it would of been free delivery. The girl on the phone moaned and sighed when i asked about free delivery. The food is great the service is not so much.
