A completely different great experience. Family oriented , spacious , with outside, inside sitting, great service awesome staff. There?s free parking a shop inside where you can purchase gifts, beer apparel. They give tours, which I haven?t been to yet but will definitely get tickets for soon. Only slight issue I had was that some items weren?t available on the menu for a dessert I ordered, they brought me half of th... View all feedback.
What Brittany M doesn't like about Guinness Open Gate Brewery Barrel House:
Someone needs a lesson in pouring consistent half and half's. For 9.75 a piece you gotta get it right! We also got the 15.00 pretzel, was served cold. Brings it down to 1 star : View all feedback.
Excellent place to visit! We did the tour/tasting and ate outside in the Biergarten. The tour wasn't the most interesting but you got to learn about the brewing process, history, and some of the advertising. The tour guide was very nice. After the tour portion on the 1st floor, you go up to the third floor for a tasting. We tasted four samples of different Guinnesses, starting with the Baltimore Blonde, of course! We then went shopping in their 2nd floor gift shop and then outside and downstairs for some food and more beer. The ordering process was simple scan QR code at your table, pay online, and then the food and beer is delivered directly to you. Both the beers and food came out extremely fast! We ordered the pretzel and corn dog nuggets. The side of beer cheese that came with pretzel was delicious and a decent portion. The corn dogs went great with the mustard that came with the giant pretzel.
We ate lunch in the tap room and then did the tour. Highly recommend both! The food was great! The oysters were fresh and delicious, loved the Guinness Beef Stew, and the Corned Beef Cabbage was our great! The tour is definitely worth taking. Our tour guide, Jen, was knowledgeable and fun! And the tasting tour after pays for the tour!
The beer is good but the burger........sucks meatloaf burger taste awful and I wish I could have made my own burger. It was that bad! It was dry and the claim this is a new item SMH NASTY
Excellent selection of Guinness Beers. Great for a Saturday afternoon drink. Order at the table options are great too. Food is classic bar food.
We came in the evening and the last stop on my sister's anniversary celebration. They have a beautiful restaurant however I didn't get the opportunity to try the food. We were there for a tasting. I was not expecting this facility to be as large as it is. The staff was super sweet because there were a lot of us and by the time we arrived we were a bit rowdy. I am not a beer drinker so I only took some sips today try everything. If we are back in Maryland I would like to go back and try the restaurant and check out the beer garden.
