From start to finish, the experience ranks among the best restaurants we’ve visited around the world — and that includes our favorites like Nobu Malibu, Jean-Georges New York and Las Vegas, The Ivy in West Hollywood, Atelier Crenn in San Francisco, and several Michelin-starred restaurants in Spain, Turkey, France, and Prague. Service – 5/5 Our two waiters were absolutely phenomenal. Attentive, professional, and detail-oriented — they maintained a perfectly tidy table and executed a beautiful tableside presentation of the steak tartare. Their attentiveness enhanced the entire dining experience. Ambience – 5/5 Even without a special request, we were graciously seated facing a breathtaking view of Hong Kong Harbour and Causeway Bay. It was an unexpected and stunning surprise. The restaurant’s atmosphere is elegant yet inviting — perfect for a romantic date night. Even the entrance to Aqua sets the tone with its dramatic and stylish design. Food – The Highlight of the Night The menu somehow brought together all of our favorites. We began with a rich and well-seasoned steak tartare, followed by a beautifully prepared sushi course with toro, fatty salmon, and hamachi. (We just arrived from Tokyo and the fish was better than Japan). Our third course — foie gras — earned a cheerful “great choice, guys!” from our Italian waiter (and he was absolutely right). Dinner continued with a perfectly cooked miso-glazed black cod and fresh tagliatelle. To finish, a matcha cake with cream mousse that was as delicious. In Summary Aqua delivered one of the most memorable meals we’ve had anywhere. The service, ambience, and culinary creativity all came together for a magical night. It’s clear Aqua belongs in the company of the world’s finest dining experiences. I read the less than 5 star reviews and I have to disagree. This restaurant is the real deal. We had high expectations but Aqua delivered and we had one of the best dinners of our life really. Came for the views (which are amazing) but will remember the delicious food, new flavours we had never tried and the espectacular service from Marco, a true star. We wanted to celebrate a special night and Aqua ended up making it double special. Thank you very much and congratulations Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
