What Matthew P doesn't like about King's Cafe At Talyllyn Railway:
I ordered a takeaway sandwich which was very overpriced. It had a few pieces of fatty, undercooked bacon and they forgot to include the egg. The sandwich was thrown into a box without even being wrapped up. I can't believe I paid £7 for that! It was a disappointing experience. View all feedback.

The service at this restaurant is always friendly, and the food is fantastic. We love coming here for afternoon tea and tea cakes, or for lunch. The ambiance with the train theme adds to the overall experience.
During our holiday, we made sure to visit the Railway Cafe on our first full day, as we had missed out on it the year before. We were not disappointed. I ordered the ham, egg, and chips, while my wife had the Welsh Rarebit, and we both enjoyed our meals with their generous portions. My wife even mentioned that it was the best rarebit she had ever tasted. It was interesting to see that many locals were also enjoying their lunch there, and we enjoyed listening to their stories and comments. If we ever find ourselves back in Tywyn, we would definitely visit the Railway Cafe again. I even bought a mug with a map of the Tywyn area from the shop as a souvenir to remember our visit.
My son and I had Sunday lunch at King 's restaurant as part of a Behind the Scenes experience at the Talylln Railway. The choice of food was varied, and the food itself was freshly prepared and delicious. The staff were pleasant, friendly and helpful despite being run off their feet. No surprise that the restaurant was very busy it 's a gem!
