Golden Bssil - Guelph

I've been here a few times, and it's one of my favourite places to get vegetarian Pad See Ew. Their service is very fast, and every time I've been here the employees have been very nice, and a couple times they even gave me discounts without me asking for them! (10% takeout, combo meal prices). The portions are also generous, especially their soups. If you get a chance, try out their spring rolls and vegan sauce Pad See Ew, it tastes so good!

I can’t believe I’ve never come here before. My meal was $10 and I have enough for two dinners. I ordered the roasted pork soup which I can not recommend enough. Best pho I’ve ever tasted. And the service was great to boot Christina knew a lot about the cuisine and was very helpful! Do yourself a favour and try it

I have eaten here a few times and the food is very tasty and fresh. Don't be misled by the décor or the size of the restaurant. The portions are big and two people can split meals. The Curry dishes are great as are the spring rolls and the Singapore Noodles. Service is fast and efficient and the food arrives fast and hot from the kitchen. I would recommend this place.

Was looking for a quick lunch before a meeting and had been here before. Order the non fried shrimp rolls and the pork/ chicken vermicelli bowl. I like the option of two choices with the bowl. Most Thai places I been too it is one choice. You can order the CL bowl if very hungry for a couple of dollars more. Service was good, food was quick and made meeting.

Will try to keep this short, but experienced the worst customer service in my life at this location. 0 stars would be appropriate here. In early February, I tried to order takeout from Golden Basil through the Just Eat service. After 2 hours, no food had showed up. Called Just Eat only to be yelled at for about 20 minutes for how I was wrong and Just Eat is not responsible for anything ordered on their website. Made me question why the company even exists and what their purpose is? They attempted to call the resturant, but resolved nothing and continued to yell at me. Next onto Golden Basil. Another 45 minutes on the phone with the resturant manager and front desk hostess where they told me the food had been sent out an hour ago. I still had nothing in my hands. Start to get yelled at by the manager so proceed to ask if they can simply remake the order and I will come get it. Manager refuses to even consider that option and yells at me further about how they have nothing to do with their delivery service. All this after 45 minutes on the phone, why not be up front about it? Food arrived 30 minutes later very cold. Needless to say will never come back to this restaurant again nor will I ever use the Just Eat service. Food tasted very bland and was not spiced very well. Na Ha thai kitchen on York Rd is a much more authentic and worth the price.
