Belo Horizonte - Guarda

We had a great dinner in Bella Horizonte. Two elderly people running the restaurant with one younger guy who speaks a bit of English. Main courses are huge and very tasty. The wine selection was limited but the reserva we ordered was excellent. If you are looking for some traditional home cooked type of food this is the place.

Taken by taxi. Would have found it difficult to find. It is near the cathedral. 2 largish rooms. Probably typically Portuguese with bright lighting. Good Portuguese food. Family were great. Not much English.

Restaurante familiar, pessoal amigável, comida bem trabalhada e boa apresentação. A cabra assada no forno era muito saborosa. Devolver com certeza.

Chuva e noite de vento, quase tudo sem um lugar, este restaurante delicioso nos salvou, nos recebeu com grande simpatia, nos deu para comer manjars deliciosos, nos tratou bem e aquele pedaço bonito que passamos lá. Amamos tudo. Comida excepcional, portugesa tradicional, tudo ótimo.

Food was great. only downside was the wait. if available, definitely recommend getting a reservation.
