Dakota - Guanajuato

We came upon this attractive building that had an antique store with the restaurant adjacent, and had lunch at Dakota: delicious salad with carmelized pecans, mixed lettuce, jicama, and light tasty dressing, and a pizza with mushrooms. The food was fresh and wonderful, so much so that we went back later for soup and dessert. We had onion soup, complete with one large "crouton", and chipotle soup that was tart, light, and unique. There is a small list of red wines available by the glass. Don't miss the apple pie (Pay de manna.) It is really one of the world's best. We had a chance to talk with Graham, the chef, an American who moved to Mexico and runs the place with his wife Ileana. Dakota stands out with modern cuisine in a really nice space.

Do not miss the apple cake (pay de manna. it is really one of the best of the world. we had the chance to talk to graham, the chef, an American who moved to mexiko and with his wife ileana leads the place. dakota is characterized by modern kitchen in a really nice room.
