Very Friendly Staff! Rooms were smaller, but clean. Beds less than pleasing-very old feeling. About an Hour outside of Yosemite Valley! A handfulof food options in the area! View all feedback.
What Tigs Chadder doesn't like about Charlotte:
Very sweet and quaint hotel, one of only two in this small (really small Californian town) Groveland off the 120. (Traducido por Google) Hotel muy dulce y pintoresco, uno de los dos únicos en este pequeño (muy pequeño pueblo californiano) Groveland junto a la 120. View all feedback.
We stopped at the bar on the way from Yosemite. The bartender Beau was very nice, he showed me a guitar in the bar and told me it's history, he was also nice enough to ask the owner Finn who was also very friendly when I could play; and I did. Although I spent my time playing with costumes and singing, I was never asked to stop and was shown much appreciation. Thanks Finn and Beau!
10/10 would recommend. In the small and simple rooms they felt an old time. Top notch service. Good food and drinks downstairs. Oh yes, and it's close enough to Yosemite, which is also a beautiful place.
We stayed at Hotel Charlotte for a night after visiting Yosemite. The hotel itself was really charming, with antique furniture and a bit of an 'old western' mood. When we arrived, we were greeted by the owner who was incredibly friendly, who gave us our keys and put us in the room. The room itself was beautiful, and the bathroom had a large bathtub that was a nice touch, and after several days in tents appreciated. We starved when we arrived first, so after we arrived, the first thing we did was to eat. The hotel had a nice dining area back with lighting and outdoor heating lamps. The food was a little expensive, but was really good, and came with generous portions that made more than for them. Since we were hungry, it was worth every penny. We arrived early for dinner, but the outdoor heating lamps were not switched on, but the owner came by and turned us only for us, and our 3 years old son was super enthusiastic about the fire. After dinner, when we returned to our room, the owner knocked at our door and gave us the toys that our son had left on the table at dinner, which was a small note, but also very appreciated. Overall, it was a great stay and would definitely stay here before/after my next trip to Yosemite.
Great! Nice hotel with very helpful team and nice food at the evenings we were there. Felt like a real American hotel, with additional bonus of a selection of gluten-free food in the nights was the bar / restaurant opened. It was only over an hour to Yosemite Valley, so for us it was perfect location.
Lovely boutique hotel about 1 hour drive from the north entrance of Yosemite National Park (depends on traffic of course). The room is pretty basic, but after 2 days of camping in Yosemite, it felt like 5 star ??. The staff are quite friendly and chatty. The hotel does not have an elevator so prepare to carry your luggage ? yourself (only 2 levels so not too bad). There is also a restaurant attached to the hotel where hotel guests get done discount. The food was quite good to our surprise give our prior national park experiences! The hotel offer complementary muffins for breakfast and free coffee and teas at the lounge. The shower temperature fluctuated quite a lot in our room, so that is a small downside. Overall, it?s a great place to stay if you are visiting Yosemite and don?t want to stay inside the park.
