Swiss Chalet Rotisserie & Grill

Took my dad out to dine as he loves Swiss Chalet. Odd entrance and not easy to get to if you are not sure of the area. Our server although did not offer her name was very polite and very tall ! but a bit...forgetful. We were there about 3:30 in the afternoon so the dining room was no where near busy. We ordered our drinks but it took about 20 minutes to bring my dad his coffee. I assumed they made a fresh pot for him. The food was ok and my dad had plenty left to take the left overs home for lunch. My husband enjoyed his ribs but his leg meat was a bit jiggly. Slightly under cooked. All 3 of our meal were the Festive Specials but had to ask for our chocolates while walking out. Our server did bring the debit machine but since we had gift cards she left it on the table and never came back for it. .We reminded her it was there when we were leaving. We let her keep the balance of the gift card as her gratuity which she did say thank you but never returned to our table. With the debit machine sitting there we felt it was odd of us to just get up and walk out although we had paid. I will say it was a better experience than the one on Lundy's Lane when we were completely ignored at t he take out counter.

Had a brilliant Valentine's Day dinner curbside pickup! the young man who brought the food to my car was very friendly and polite. I wish I had the money to give him a tip! did not get a picture of the food because we were too hungry!. thanks for the great food and service!

Last night I ordered a smokey bbq rib sandwich it was supposed to be amazing with a roasted warm tasty bungalow with pulled rib meat coleslaw on the top, but what I got was a very stale non-roasted bungalow with no coleslaw on...above pulled rib meat the meat was ice cold! no cute again my pommes were so old and so cold picture

This was my first time at this location and may be my last. The dining room was nice and washrooms clean. I was seated quickly and then waited 10min for a server. I asked about the CAA promo and she said I had to order...2 meals? When I said something she just shrugged her shoulders. Not cool. Also, I was dining SOLO! What are solo diners discriminated against at Swiss Chalet? This was not a pleasant start. I gave my order, it was delivered hot within 10min, that was good! For some reason, about 15min later my throat began to have a scratchy/burning sensation. AS I continued my meal I became slightly nauseous. It was the same feeling as when I cold comes on but this happened in 15min! It became worse, I could not finish my dinner which is not like me. I had to wait quite a while for the server to come back with the check and wait again for her to come with the card machine. She never came back so I left. I also note that she went out of her way to help other diners during my stay, all of her tables with multiple people. This proves my point once again that solo diners are discriminated against. If the servers think its because they will get a low tip, they have to remember it 's about 1. Number of people in party and 2. SERVICE! Tips are BONUSES for good service. I 'm not sure why I left a 15% tip, the service was OK but not worthy of 15 percent. Post note. I came home, went to bed still not feeling great, woke up in the morning and was fine and have been all day. All I can say is it had to be some food contamination. There is no other explanation. While this business is conveniently located just 2 minutes from the QEW, I 'm not likely to return.

Been to Swiss Chalet many times, and they are consistent. Decent food, good service, good price. Swiss Chalet Grimsby would meet the mold. We had a nice long visit, and never any pressure to move on, admittedly, there were open tables, but the staff was...attentive while we sat and visited.
