After visiting gretna gateway we have to eat in the old great bar cafe for something. we were too late for the Scottish breakfast served between 10 and 11:30. w... read more After visiting gretna gateway we have to eat in the old great bar cafe for something. we were too late for the Scottish breakfast served between 10 and 11:30. we ordered a round sandwiches and chips that are served between 11:30 and 22:00. as they can see from my picture, eating was fresh with a good amount of sandwich filling, I enjoyed it a lot along with the short brot that came with our hot drinks. the service was good. I just gave the caffe four stars because I found the menu choice a little limited, it seemed to have been scaled down from what I had seen online. I agree with some of the others that this would be a much better way to stop for refreshments than a service station, but they really need to plan their visit between 10 and 2 o'clock if they want something substantial.

I loved everything. the woman and I will be back when we are in the opposite.
