Favorite Chinese in the area! The basic chicken and broccoli is delicious. The meat is tender, and the sauce adds the perfect amount of tang. They're also generous with the rice.Let them know if you have allergies because there's lots of ingredients in the sauce you may not expect. View all feedback.
What Gary Pozner doesn't like about Oriental Gourmet:
Wow, was this a disappointment!! The food was greasy, and had very little flavour. One of the dishes we ordered was szechuan tofu. There was a warning that it would be spicy. It was not spicy, it literally had no taste. Usually the tofu is stir-fried, this tofu was just cut up and put in the tasteless sauce. This place is, sadly, a one and done. View all feedback.
This place wasOne of the best Chinese restaurants probably in the United States. I'm very sorry to see it closed down
They tried to scam me! The other day I ordered chicken lo mein noodles, and expected egg noodles, some vegetables, and some chicken. I also ordered edamame. I got home and opened the bag, and instead of lo mein, I got a large cup of shredded vegetables in a broth, and one small sliver of chicken on top. This was absolutely not what I ordered, but I was too tired to go back and complain. I thought maybe they make lo mein very differently. A few days later I ordered chicken chow mein, which one hundred percent can not be made without noodles. Again, I go home and open the same shredded vegetable broth. This time I knew something was up so I drove back to the restaurant, showed my receipt, and asked why I didn’t get what I ordered. The lady was extremely rude and tried convincing me that I was holding the chow mein, and tried telling me the noodles I wanted were actually lo mein. After explaining I ordered the lo mein last time and got the same vegetable stew, she kept trying to convince me I was mistaken. After like three mins of arguing she finally accepted defeat and told the chef to make “one large chicken chow mein”. (She clearly knew that the chow mein are supposed to be noodles). I finally got my noodles and as she handed them to me she rolled her eyes and said “order the right thing next time”. The noodles were very greasy, and had almost no flavor. It was an abomination to my tastebuds. Even the chicken was dry and chewy. BE VERY CAREFUL BECAUSE THIS RESTAURANT WILL TRY TO GIVE YOU THE INCORRECT, MUCH CHEAPER OPTION SO THEY CAN SAVE LIKE SEVEN BUCKS!
Pretty dirty and no soap in restroom which means staff are probably not washing their hands.
The chicken and broccoli uses this brown sauce that I just love, other places usually use this clear stuff. Not nearly as good. The fried rice is also amazing ?
Amazing not another Chinese place like it on this coast.
