Harvest Wine Bar Restaurant - Greenwich

We loved our dining experience at Harvest Wine and Bar. The food was excellent as was the service. We sat in the open area next to the sidewalk and while it was a little noisy, we loved being partially outdoors. Parking was easy and free at the public lot on Fawcett Pl.

Not sure why I needed to verify myself THREE times. Is my review really so confidential? Food was very good, nice variety. Server was very attentive. Had a nice quiet table. Would definitely recommend

Note the latest trick being employed to get unwitting customers (me) to tip more. Be careful when clicking the [20] tip button, unfortunately it's necessary to confirm that it's based on the figure you were expecting. My tip ended up being 50 more than I expected. Food and service were fine, but this leaves a bad aftertaste.

Firstly, service was fine, except for having my husbands' plate removed way before I finished my entree. That is lack of training the staff, and being interrupted in the middle of a conversation is another one. The starters were fine, but the two entrees had a strange, sweet spice on both the fish and chicken, and seemed to be mixed in with the mashed potatoes as well. It wasn't needed, and should have been noted on the menu. Why aren't restaurant owners aware that a high noise level isn't desirable to most diners? It was very difficult holding a conversation, and the front dining room was half full.

Still five stars BUT new layout is very noisy. I've eaten at Harvest many times but this is first time since it's been renovated. Seems like tables are closer together and more enclosed creating more overall noise which made it more difficult to have a simple conversation at a two person table. However there were two parties of 8-10 around us that may have been the issue too. Food is excellent with so many great choices. Attentive service and good and well priced wine list.
