I visited for the first time with my family and had a fantastic experience. The service was outstanding, and the classic cheese pie was the best I've tasted in town. Everything was top-notch! View all feedback.
What Trenton Bartell doesn't like about Coal Vines Pizza And Wine:
The Hawaiian pizza was fine but the ham tasted odd. The bruschetta was ok, but tasted liked it sat in the refrigerator for a while. All in all, it was an ok experience. View all feedback.
This is my favorite pizza place—truly a gem in Southlake! I always order the white pizza, which features mozzarella and Parmesan cheese with ricotta. The pizzas are enormous, enough to feed both of us and still leave me with half for the next day. Two slices are usually more than enough for me, but I find it hard to stop there. They offer much more than just pizza; I also tried a bite of the meatball sandwich that my mother-in-law couldn't finish, and it was amazing. If you're in the Southlake area and looking for fantastic food, you owe it to yourself to try Coal Vines!
My wife and I really enjoy this restaurant for our date nights. The atmosphere is lovely, and the vodka sauce pizza is exceptional! The prices are also just right.
The pizza was excellent, and both the Caprese salad and Caesar salad were very good as well. The calamari was a bit overcooked but still flavorful. The chicken bacon lunch and the artichoke pizza were spot on, featuring a nice, medium crust. Our waitress, Sarah, was very helpful throughout our meal.
The atmosphere is fantastic, and the pizza is excellent, complemented by a selection of fine wines.
It has been years since I last enjoyed Coal Vines, and this was my first time at the Southlake location. The interior has a charming and inviting ambiance, with low lighting and tabletop candles, creating a pleasant atmosphere despite being somewhat noisy. The complimentary zucchini chips were delicious. The spinach salad was quite good as well, but I would have liked more pear and walnuts, as it was very heavy on the Gorgonzola due to both the cheese and the dressing. The pizza was undoubtedly the best I've had in a long time! The sauce had a fantastic flavor, the cheese was of high quality, and the crust was thin yet sturdy enough to avoid the sogginess that can sometimes occur with Neapolitan styles. The service was attentive and friendly. I will definitely return, as I prefer this pizza over other local options.
