Ever since the unfortunate closure of Taqueria Mexico's previous version, El Charro Viejo has become my go-to spot for the best Mexican food in Grand Prairie. The pastor tacos are authentic and delicious. I judge all Mexican restaurants based on the quality of their pork dishes, and the ones here are top-notch, especially compared to others in the area. What Antonette Leannon doesn't like about El Charro Viejo:
Worst food I ever had...ordered most expensive meal on the menu and we left it on the table, paid the bill and walked out. Absolutely a waste of time and hard-earned money. Do yourself a favor and go to the place next to Rogue Theater instead, THAT'S WHAT GREAT MEXICAN FOOD AND SERVICE IS LIKE. The food is delicious and the service is amazing. We are thankful for the great experience at this restaurant. We enjoyed a wonderful combination of steak, chorizo, shrimp, vegetables, mushrooms, cheeses, jalapeños, and spices, all served with salad, cheese, tomatoes, guacamole, and tortillas. It was truly delicious!
Best Mexican food in town. Great staff and great atmosphere.

I had a great dining experience at this restaurant, with excellent food and exceptional service. Everything felt authentic and I would definitely recommend coming back.

This place was bad on every level and I think someone ate our food before we got it, then ran it over with a truck, then left it in the oven until it was jerky. I mean it was so ridiculously bad that we couldn't believe they weren't ashamed to serve it.
