Cousins Tasty Chicken - Grand Rapids

By far the best roasted chicken and fish in the city! I had cousins too often to count now and it was hot, fresh and delicious with generous portions every time. This is not even to mention that they have unbeatable prices! You would cheat if you got fried chicken from somewhere else!

I hate how much I love this place. It's cheap and it's good and most importantly, to the detriment of my health, it's close to my house. Every time I've come here the chicken and fries have been great and I still think it's insane how much of a value I get here. I've come here so many times that I'm pretty sure they know my face by now and I'm more chicken than human.

First time trying Cousins chicken. The chicken was hot, krispy and moist. Our order was accurate and ready when promised. They had a good system going- one line for preordered food, and another line for ordering on the spot. I liked the light batter on it. We also enjoyed our sides of fried okra, mashed potatoes, and cole slaw, all fresh tasting. I would order again when we are in the mood for fried chicken. I also want to try the fish.

Everything was still warm when we got home and put it all out for a buffet dinner. We loved the chicken, the fried green beans, mushrooms and onion rings, as well as the tilapia. Also enjoyed the coleslaw, potatoes and gravy, and the beans. I did make a salad at home to add just so there was something not fried to offer. Great dinner!

Great fish. Very generous portions. Nice ratio of batter to fish. Way more French fries then we can eat but they come hot and fresh. My gizzards were tender and delicious. A special treat!
