What a great setting the porch on the restaurant has overlooking the lake and the mountains behind. Really fantastic place to chill for a drink and enjoy the sites, or a nice meal. would retrun for sure View all feedback.
What Jerry F doesn't like about Jr's Grill Catering:
We had a pre supper appetizer of Elk Fries and a couple of drinks before the main course elsewhere. Great views of the lake and the fishing dock. After visiting all the other spots I guess I just had to go here as well. I don't think I would go back. Nobody was there to seat us on the patio so we sat ourselves, but got told we should not have done that. I had to go to the bar for my own drinks until one of the waiter... View all feedback.
My husband and I stumbled on this restaurant when we were searching for somewhere to grab take out to sit by the lake. What a find!! Lovely food, fantastic views of the lake and great service. We were happy to find Coronas on their Beer menu too. Just what we enjoy on a sunny day. ?
We asked a local about restaurants that we should try over the weekend and she recommended Cork. Then I read the reviews and almost decided not to go. I 'm glad I decided to discount some of the negative reviews. We enjoyed the food and the wine and the view was spectacular. Some of the issue may be that it is more small plate than traditional tapas. So, maybe it is an expectation issue. Our service was great. When we arrived they did not have room on the patio for us. So, they sat us inside and then came and got us when a table outside opened up. Very accommodating, I 'd say.
We spent the afternoon driving from Estes to Grand Lake Via 34, SPECTACULAR drive by the way! We stopped at Cork on the water for some wine and an appetizer, we sat out on the patio overlooking the lake, we did not want to leave. Beautiful views of the lake, our waitress so friendly and accommodating, just a great place.
Great location but the food was marginal at best. Don’t get the panini. It comes cold and the bread was tasteless. I’d skip the food.
For us the location was the draw but did not know to just ask if the limited menu of mostly fried or spicy options (not properly identified as such in all cases) could be altered to suit our tastes. I thought the fish and chips were great but my wife was unhappy with discovering the fish on her tacos was battered/fried, also got the shrimp appetizer that was identified as marinated (and not fried) but turns out was too spicy for her. We almost ordered the sliders but grateful we did not b/c saw them at next table with very little meat on a very thick bread roll. It appears this is a great place for mainly drinking and light eating and we were focused on eating our mistake and thus not likely to return any time soon. They are new/evolving and hopefully will improve.
