This review has been long overdue... Overall, The Pepper was good. Like every alum from UND, we all come back and crave The Pepper! However, in the last few years, the service has declined and the bread has changed for the worse. We used to love the grinder bread you had before 2014 - it was flat and tasty. There was food and junk all over the place, every part of it including tables and where they made food was incredibly filthy, hot dog was microwaved and no one in the party finished their food it was gross, tasted gross and looked unappetizing.
Great food! We very time I go in on completely satisfied. The price is good too. Get your food Schneider style!
There is nothing like the original location of them looking for the true red pfeffer experience, but that drive through at this place makes it a great option for loopers to go.
Love this place! this is a must if they go to grand forks or live! eating is great and the portions are huge without breaking their wallet. I always get a grinder with tacos meat when I go there. the tacosmeat is a must! it is a sub-sandwich with salat and its choice of meat (plus the Tacco meat) with a mild white sauce and a sharp red sauce. the brot also makes the sandwich. I've never found anything that is otherwise different, and it's the things that are going to demand.
To go in a sequence of hard shell schneider tacos (enchilada, hot, white sauce) and chips sauce. they had them ready for me in 10 minutes. I can't tell you how many schneider tacos I ate, but I'll never get sick of it. the original Pepper location at university is the flagship and a stop worth, but this place is clean and fast. drive them through, call them or feed them in. a very special local favorit.
