Been coming here for years every summer! Always a go-to on Friday nights, and their pirogies are amazing.

I stumbled into this charming little burger stand on a day trip to Lake Winnipeg. Ordered the Beyond Meat burger and the sweet potato fries. Both items were excellent, and the simple picnic table seating under an awning was nice because the picnic tables were freshly painted in bright colours. What really makes this place a standout is the service (fast and friendly even though it was Labour Day Sunday and the place was busy) and the delightful paint job on the front of the stand and the wall beside the tables. Really enjoyed my meal and I'd go back there for a meal anytime.

I went here as a kid all the time, I still go regularly as an adult, and it 's remained remarkably high quality. I 've been disappointed as a lot of other Manitoba burgers, dogs 'n ' fries joints of this vintage have gone downhill...this one hasn 't. Fantastic hotdogs, better than many other places famous for them north of Winnipeg. Great shoestring fries. Burgers are solid, with a wide array of toppings that means everybody should be able to craft something they like. Really, variety is one of the best thing Lanky 's has going for it while so many old school joints like this have seen their menus dwindle, Lanky 's is adding more all the time. Want some crunchy deep fried perogies? Poutine? Pizza rolls for the kids? Vegetarian options? You 're covered. And no, it 's not expensive, unless you 're used to exclusively ordering off the value menu at McDonalds. A family of four can get a satisfying meal for under $40. The current owner and staff are nice, no nonsense, and professional. The vibes under the patio tent are always good. I wouldn 't visit the Grand Beach area without visiting.

What can you say? 24 Hotdogs are the stuff of college eating contests. This is a great place and a long-time fixture in Grand Marais. If you are heading to Grand Beach, it is a must on your visit list. There are plenty of choices that are not 24 hotdogs so fear not, you will be able to find something for everyone.
