Activity list was amazing until having to reserve. Activities and pool do not accommodate the number of guests here. Basically sat in our non a/c rooms with nothing to do because everything was already overrunRooms: 1/5 View all feedback.

Pros: This is a family-friendly, affordable experience (compared to going to a ski resort or private ranch). There are tons of activities to keep kids from 3-73 busy. The staff comes from all over the US and abroad. They are fun to talk with. The grounds are beautiful and the firewood was plentiful in the forest for our little smores adventure. The shared bathrooms at the yurt village were clean and the water was hot. Cons: When I went to reserve a room a few weeks in advance, nothing was available except camping and the yurts. We chose the yurts and froze our little tushies when the temperature dipped down to 39 degrees. They really need little electric heaters or warn people to bring sleeping bags that are rated for freezing temperatures (we were there in July). I really wanted to love the all you care to eat cafeteria but the food was below average and it lacked any variety (no gluten-free options besides salad...there were three different entrees but two were fried and all were overcooked making them dry and tough). Surprisingly the rice and vegetarian chicken nuggets were the best-tasting options. Drinks included milk, soda, and coffee. It seems they missed the boat on the most obvious option- freshly brewed tea- it 's easy, cheap, and popular. Maybe try the grill/restaurant instead? The zip line is very awkwardly set up and didn 't feel particularly safe or convenient...definitely check out the setup before reserving your spot. Mixed Reviews: The arts and crafts area had lots of different projects to choose from and the hosts were super nice, however, most of the possible projects were out of supplies and the shop closes at 5 pm. Most everything shuts down by then so there 's not a lot to do at night....hence searching for wood to make smores. The archery area is well stocked with nice compound bows...however, the lack of staff meant that we had to crowd 12 people around 6 targets, despite there being other open targets. We had to find the activities office in the morning to find out which range was open for the day (indoor or outdoor) as the front desk didn 't know. Overall: It was a mostly fun experience and I really wanted this to be our go to place for family fun. Due to the lack of edible food in the cafeteria and warm accommodations, we 'll keep looking.
Great location and scenery but that's the most they have going for them. With a late check in and early check out you get barely any time at the location. We did the summer tubing hill and that was a huge disappointment only 2 people from our group made it to the bottom. Also the big reason we were there was for a wedding and the wedding side of Snow Mountain Ranch is so poorly ran it made a difficult time for both the bride and groom and the guests attending. Definitely would not recommend getting married here and we won't be coming back.Rooms: Rooms are good sized but there just be aware there are no shower amenities as well as no TV in the room. There is a mini fridge though in the lodge we stayed at as well as a balcony.Walkability: Very easy to walk around but you more than likely will want to drive since most locations at the ranch are pretty spread out.
There are a lot of fun activities for kids. The rooms are fairly clean, but not great. My issue with Snow Mountain Ranch is maintenance of the facilities. The key phrase for your stay has been out of order ... Half of the laundry room (even the change machine), the ice maker on our hall, the ENTIRE drink area in the cafeteria (no discount, of course), parts of the mini-golf courses, etc. Now, I get that things break, however, when you look out of your balcony to see massive amounts of construction and new buildings, it is extremely frustrating that many basic services and facilities are Out of Order, Sorry for the Inconvenience . With as much as this place charges for rooms and as many different camps have dozens of kids running around, it is not like money is an issue for the Y.We stayed here because the kids asked. We won 't be returning.
