This was was our first time having dinner at the Garrison. The menu selection is small but very interesting and creative. The atmosphere was great but a little loud and the view of the river was beautiful. The food is served as small plates like an appetizer with no starch or veggies. What john weed doesn't like about The Garrison:
I took my wife out for our 25th anniversary, made reservations and stated it was our anniversary. Even with reservations it took a while to get a seat. We got put next to a table of 8, very loud and abnotios. Waitress was good, but she was catering to the 8 top next to us. The food was amazing but they took away any romance or conversation we could have. I was not impressed View all feedback.
Setting, service, creative cocktails, interesting and unique food, all excellent. Best meal of our Maine summer so far.
What an incredible meal by such a talented team!! I thought I was just going to have dinner but this was truly a culinary experience that far exceeded any expectations that I had. The combination of flavors was unique and absolutely amazing. Paired with the friendliest of staff and an overall chill vibe this place is a gem and I can 't wait to come back!!
Simply incredible. Food was outstanding. Server was awesome. The mushroom small plate was unbelievable.
The mushrooms/yolk small plate is simple, magical perfection a sign of a truly talented Chef and kitchen. Everything we ordered from the Plates for Ukraine menu was deeply delicious the scallops crudo with coffee crumble being the other standout. Best bar service. Gorgeous space. Inspiring experience created by a compassionate Chef currently serving with WCK on the Ukrainian border????????
I don?t even know where to start about The Garrison. Whether it be the food, the drinks, or the service, this place is top notch. The menu is exciting and perfectly sized. Just enough variety but small enough that you can tell they put a lot of thought in each dish. The flavors added to each plate is as unique as it is delicious. The drink selection was phenomenal as well. There?s no gimmicks on the menu, it honors the local specialties and takes it further than that, clearly a testament to the chef and his team. If the local mushrooms or Branzino are on the menu when you go, GET THEM. You will not be sorry. 10/10
