What User doesn't like about La Casa Italiana:
After the good reviews we read, me and my friends went here (Tourists). You must be aware that pasta starts at $20, which is quite expensive I think. Big portions but I felt that I could have cooked it with the same quality. Garlic bread was good though and service nice. The paper covering the table gives a really cheap impression to the place and the furniture overall is outdated. Not really romantic or cozy atmosph... View all feedback.
Had a nice dinner in Goulburn to celebrate a birthday. Service was great - there when needed but not smothering. Nice spot with the window seat.
On a visit to Goulburn we stayed at the Central Motel. Upstairs is an Italian Restaurant called La Casa. As it was convenient and we like Italian food we decided to have dinner there. This certainly wasn't a mistake! The menu listed so many tempting and traditional Italian choices, including seafood, veal, pasta, risotto and for the more adventurous diners things like tripe, brains, quail, hare, rabbit and goat! The highlight of our meal was dessert. My husband had a delicious Chocolato Log, with rich dark chocolate rolled with nuts and glacé ginger. I had the Italian crepe cooked at our table by the delightful owner, with berries and doused in lemon juice and various tasty alcoholic treats and finally served flaming with Marsala then served with ice cream. This was one of the best desserts I have had in a very long time. The owners of this restaurant are delightful people who we ended up chatting with for at least an hour after our meal. It was a delightful evening with a very delicious, well priced meal. We will definitely return for dinner if we are spending a night in Goulburn again.
Great restaurant located in the centre of town. The service was very friendly and the food was delicious & fresh. The chef also made my sons night by letting him help cook his crepes, he loved it!
Very good food, friendly service and genuine ambiance. Remember you are in the country so your choices are limited and I eat here whenever I'm in Goulburn. The kidneys are great. Also the quail is good. The pasta is good. Zabaglione or crepes made at your table. They do try hard and succeed. It's popular and worth booking.
